It is Christmas Eve and the little rabbits are all snug in their bed. Papa begins to tell them seven little stories about their family and the days leading up to Christmas. He tells them about a little boy rabbit who wishes he got some Christmas mail and who figures out that you have to write mail if you want to receive some. He tells them about how Mama Rabbit got a little carried away making Christmas cookies and how Little Sister Rabbit worked hard to decorate the Christmas tree so that it would be “perfect.”
Young readers will enjoy waiting for their Christmas with this rabbit family. Grownups might like to read their children one story every night for the week leading up to the big day. Charming watercolor illustrations will give the listeners something to look at as they hear about the rabbits and their adventures.
