The Furry Animal Alphabet Book

Jerry Pallotta

Illustrated by Edgar Stewart

Non-Fiction Picture Book (Series)

Ages 4 to 8

Mammals come in all shapes and sizes, and they are often capable of extraordinary things. The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world, and the flying squirrel can glide for many hundreds of feet through the air. Then there are some furry creatures that are just plain strange. The rock hyrax for example looks rather like a marmot and yet it is related to the elephant. It looks nothing like an elephant! And the Unau, or two-toed sloth, moves so slowly that green moss grows on its fur.

These are just a few of the animals that you will meet in this enlightening, amusing, and highly entertaining alphabet book. Children with a fondness for animals will love learning about the Zorilla, the Quokka, and the Wallaroo, and they will be quite amazed when they look at the gorgeous and highly detailed illustrations that fill the book. Using his own brand of humor, Jerry Pallotta keeps the mood light, and the book will therefore appeal to all kinds of readers.
