Sometimes we take our parents for granted and we forget all the special and not so special things that they do for us every day. They are there when we hurt ourselves or when we are sad, they are there to help us bake a birthday cake and plant a garden. Indeed there seem to be very few things that mommies and daddies cannot do. Why they can even teach you how to ride a bike.
In this sweet but not saccharin picture book the author shows us just some of the things that our mothers and fathers do for us. The first half of the book shows the reader what mommies do and the second half shows us what daddies do. Lynne Munsinger’s much loved elephants, porcupines, pigs, and other animal characters portray the many ways in which parents show their children their love.
