  It is Halloween and the Littlest Pumpkin is waiting with all the other pumpkins in Bartlett’s farm for someone to buy her to turn her into a Halloween jack-o’-lantern. She has big dreams about what she is going to look like on this most special day when she gets to plays her part in the Halloween celebrations.

  When Maggie comes to get her Halloween pumpkin she chooses the biggest pumpkin on the farm stand. In fact she doesn’t even notice the Littlest Pumpkin at all. Other children follow and they choose their pumpkins but unfortunately none of them want the Littlest Pumpkin.

  As the sun is setting there are only four pumpkins left and one of them is the Littlest Pumpkin who still clings to her dreams of being part of a Halloween celebration. By nightfall the Littlest Pumpkin is all alone, unclaimed and convinced that she is not going to have any kind of Halloween at all – or is she?

  Children who like a happy ending are sure to enjoy this heartwarming Halloween tale about a little pumpkin whose dream comes true just when it seems that all is lost. Warm illustrations and thoroughly delightful mouse characters make this a perfect book to share with little children on a cool fall evening.
