  For many of us the Little House books were our companions when we were growing up and for many of us still, as adults, they still touch a special place in our hearts either as we read them again for our children or for ourselves. This excellent guide book is for the Little House fan who wants to follow in the footsteps of Laura and her family and who wants to know more about the places where Laura lived.   In this guidebook we can 'visit' each of the places where there was a "Little House" and explore the area. If we want to get into a car or onto a plane to go there, there is a small section for each area on where to stay, where to eat, and how to get there as well as information about the local sites and places of interest.
  Throughout the book the reader will find many bright photographs of the homes, towns, and sites of interest as well as reproductions of Garth Williams' famous artwork which were used to illustrate the original Little House stories. This volume is packed with fascinating information about Laura's life and times, and it is a book which will entertain both the armchair and the real traveller alike.
