The three little mice have just heard the story of the Hanukkah lights and they are determined to find these wonderful lights. On the first day of searching the house they find the Hanukkah candlestick - but no lights. On the second day Marty Mouse finds some delicious chocolate coins - but no lights. And so it continues for seven days. Each day the mice find some treat or treasure but they simply cannot find the lights that they heard about in the story. It is only on the eighth day that their patience and perseverance is rewarded.
This charming little book with its fold out pages, catchy rhyming text, cut outs, and foil inserts is a wonderful introduction for a small child to the days of Hanukkah.
