  It is a balmy Sunday; a day of rest and play, a day to go to the park, to swim in the river, to walk up a hill to look at “a sea that sparkles green and blue,” to go fishing, to visit the circus, and maybe, in the evening we might end the day in a club where we can watch dancers doing the can can.
 It is a restful day and it is hard to imagine artwork more suited to this mood than those shown in this little board book. Seurat’s atmospheric paintings fill this book and we are carried forth in a gentle progression from painting to painting by the melodic rhyming text.
