Stuff on my cat presents Cats A to Z

Mario Garza

Board Book

Ages 2 to 5

Chronicle Books, 2008, 978-0-8118-6253-0

Anyone who has ever had a cat will know that cats get into, and under, everything. They are forever curious, and will explore and try out whatever they come across. Paper grocery bags are a treasure to a cat, providing hours of entertainment. I know this for a fact! Slippers make perfect toys, and handbags are meant to be riffled through. Knitting baskets are sheer heaven!

In this funny little board book, young children will get to meet twenty six cats looking, for the most part, quite silly. The photos show cats holding toys, wearing various items of clothing or accessories, and much more. In each case the cat in question is under something in some way. To make things more interesting – and educational - the book is an alphabet book. So, on the F page a pretty grey and white cat is lying on its back, fast asleep, under a covering of artificial flowers. The N page shows a cat crouching under a newspaper, and the Y page shows a cat under a veritable mountain of unraveled yarn.

Young cat fans will have a wonderful time looking through this book. With sturdy boards and wonderful photographs on every page, this book provides grownups with the perfect tool to help their children learn their alphabet.
