Princesses are not Quitters!

Princess Allie and her sisters Princess Mellie and Princess Libby are bored to
tears. Being princesses is so boring in fact that Allie has a wonderful idea. She
and her sisters will have a go at being servants for the day. After all "Servants have all the fun" don't they. What the three girls don't realise is how much work the servants have to do. Soon they find themselves whitewashing, cleaning, weeding, polishing and dusting. Worst still is the fact that the list of jobs never seems to come to an end.
Naturally enough it isn't long before the three young princesses are exhausted but since they don't want anyone to say that "princesses are quitters" they keep on going even though they hurt all over and are hungry because they missed lunch and their dinner.
The three girls not only get blisters and aching backs from this experiment; they realize that being servants is very hard and once their gruelling day is over they decide that something has to be done about the situation.
Children will love the funny ink and watercolor illustrations in this picture book and will delight in seeing how dreadfully the three princesses do their work. It is obvious that the three girls haven't a clue how to do the chores they have been set to do but one cannot help admiring them for their determination not to give up. Best of all they learn something from their experience and take what they have learned to make life better for everyone, including themselves.
