  Every spring, for eight days, Jews all over the world celebrate Passover. Thousands of years ago their ancestors were slaves in Egypt and during Passover they remember how their ancestors were able to get their freedom from their cruel masters. God helped the Jews gain their freedom punished the evil Egyptian king for his broken promises and his cruel ways.
  Passover begins with a good housecleaning. Then a special meal called the Seder is held for the first two days. The Passover story is told and songs are song. Very special foods are eaten during the Seder and each of the foods has a special significance in the Passover story.
  This is the perfect book to help children understand what takes place during the Passover celebration. Annotated illustrations and photographs break up the text and a glossary at the back of the book will help readers with words that they are not familiar with.
