  One morning the pig family are sitting at their breakfast table when one of the little pigs spills some milk on the table. Now ordinarily such a small event would not amount to much. The milk would get wiped up and everything would go on as usual. On this morning however the spilled milk ends up trickling down a vent and into the basement. It pours into a paint tray which tips over, hitting a screwdriver in the process. The screwdriver flips and engages a switch, which turns on the grinder. The grinder then sets off a whole new, very dramatic, series of events and the pigs get the shock of their life.

  In this very clever and beautifully illustrated picture book Arthur Geisert, who is the master of understated and cleverly conceived picture books, shows his readers that a small event can truly have most unexpected consequences. Under the right set of circumstances one small “oops” can turn into a very large one.

  Readers who like detailed illustrations will love this title, and because there are no words children who do not know how to read on their own yet will feel that this book was written just for them.
