  Nicky the little cat is looking for the perfect present for his mother but he is nor sure what to get her so he goes about the farm asking all the animals what they think he should get. Each animal tells Nicky what they would give Nicky's mother for Christmas: the pig would give her an apple, the dog would give her a biscuit, a bird would give her a worm. In the end Nicky makes a very generous and loving decision and his mother gets a bountiful Christmas.
  Lots of flaps to lift, charming illustrations, and a simple text make this a perfect board book for a small child who is looking forward to Christmas.
