Tiny Too-Little loves someone. There is a problem though because the one he loves is "way up there" and poor tiny cannot reach her to give her a kiss. So, being a determined little fellow, Tiny Too-Little sets about trying to reach his lady love. He begins by standing on tiptoe on a thimble. Unfortunately this does little to get him any closer to his love. He then tries standing on a matchbox, a teacup, a cabbage, and an assortment of other things, all in an effort to get closer to the one he loves. At one might expect this tower of things eventually gives way and Tiny is right back where he started.
Luckily Tiny's lady love is not too tall to reach down to him and the problem is solved - the kiss is given and we learn that one is "never too little to love."
This touching, funny little love story just goes to show that it takes two to make things work and that love can indeed conquer all. With its delicious watercolour illustrations, its wonderful staggered pages (which little hands will surely love to turn again and again), and its popup kiss at the end, this is a book which will make story time very special indeed.
