Each snowflake is different and when it falls it can make the world look different in so many ways. In this beautiful picture book peopled by cunning little mice and full of gorgeous landscapes, we discover the many 'faces' and names that snow has. For example, when snow falls with soft fat flakes the mice call it "Wings of White Butterflies" and when the branches of the lilac bushes are covered they call snow "Lace." When the field disappears under a blanket of snow the mice call it "Magician" and when it sings through the trees it is "Harmonica."
The simplest of words which paint pictures in the mind of reader are complimented by delightful mouse-filled borders and beautiful snow covered country landscapes. We are reminded that snow comes in many shapes and forms and it can change our world in making it beautiful in so many special and unique ways.
