Monster Halloween
Quentin
Board/Novelty Book
Ages 3 to 5
HarperCollins, 2006, 0-06-083153-7
It is Halloween and the little monsters are getting ready for the festivities. Just like all other children on this special day they get dressed up. Soon they are out walking the streets with their dog Fido in tow. They are dressed up as a pirate, a princess, a firemen, a wizard, and one monster child– who has two heads – has dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf. Just like human children they are frightened when they see a skeleton and just like human children they love their treats. Of course there are monster bullies about who might want to take the treats away from the smaller monsters but help is never far in situations like this and order is soon restored.
This furry, brightly colored, and humorous board book will have little children smiling and laughing in no time. They will learn what to expect on Halloween night and they will enjoy seeing how other little monsters enjoy this special festive time.
