We are going into Aunt Zinnia's garden, a place full of flowers, insects, cats, and delightful surprises. While she is visiting the garden one day, Lucy discovers that seeds contain baby flowers. Aunt Zinnia shows Lucy how these flowers can be brought to life, explaining what they need to grow and thrive.
But, Lucy is impatient and while she waits Aunt Zinnia tries to find all sorts of creative ways to keep Lucy's mind off the seeds that don't seem to want to open up.
Mireille Levert has found a wonderful way to show a child that a special kind of magic lies in watching things grow, and that nature's gifts are worth the wait.
