  Let us take a look at some paintings. A few of them you may recognize, many of them will be unlike anything you have ever seen before. Some you may hate and some of them may look beautiful in your eyes. What we are going to do is to take a really close look at these paintings, exploring one particular aspect of each painting. 
  For example in the first section we are going to going to "Look up." We are shown two pictures in which the artists showed scenes as if they were looking up at their subjects. The author asks the reader lots of questions in the text and suggests some projects that the reader might like to try. Other aspects include: looking down, looking through, looking inwards, looking behind, and looking inside.
  In this unique book the author challenges her readers to see what the artists were trying to achieve, to see how they succeeded in their purpose, and also to see how there are many different kinds of art which have flourished at different times. In all, eighteen pieces of art are examined and explored. By the time the reader has reached the last page of the book, the reader will certainly feel wiser and probably very inspired by what he or she has seen and read.
  At the back of the book the author includes interesting information about each painting and its creator.
