Lily and Trooper's Fall
Jung-Hee Spetter
Picture Book (Series)
Ages 3 to 5
Front Street, 1998, 1-886910-38-3
When Lily and her dog wake up one morning they find that something has changed in the world outdoors - leaves are falling, changing colors as they drift down. It's fall and soon Lily and Trooper are having a wonderful time playing in the leaves. Then it begins to rain and the two have to run inside to dry off and warm up. Later they go out to play again armed with an umbrella this time.
Lily and Trooper's adventures in the outdoors on a cold, sometimes breezy, sometimes wet, leaf filled fall day will charm little children and the people who read to them. A very simple yet lyrical text is perfectly complimented by the warm emotive paintings.
