Hurray For Spring!
Patricia Hubbell
Illustrated by Taia Morley
Picture Book
Ages 3 to 5
Northword, 2005, 1-55971-913-3
It is spring and the little boy is full of excitement, there are so many wonderful things to look at and to do; the world is coming alive again and spring "tingles my fingers" as he hops and skips around the garden.
As he explores this fresh new world he finds all sorts of creatures out and about. There are the ants whom he talks to, a rabbit going "thumpity thump" among the dandelions and columbine flowers. Bumble bees sip nectar from the clover and red-winged blackbirds watch the boy plant seeds in his garden.
Full of exuberance, bounce, and joy, this simply rhyming picture book captures the excitement of spring and will surely inspire little people to want to explore their own spring world and all the secrets that it has to offer.

Hurray for spring
