How do Dinosaurs Count to Ten?
Jane Yolen
Illustrated by Mark Teague
Board Book (Series)
Ages 2 to 4
Scholastic, 2004, 0-439-64949-8
You might like to know that dinosaur children count to ten very much the way you do. They use their toys to help them practice their numbers, and of course, they say their numbers over and over again until they get them right.
There is the dinosaur with one teddy bear, and another that has eight paint pots. A very colorful corythosaurus has "four balls that bounce." In the end ten little different dinosaurs share their treasures and their counting skills with us.
With wonderful facial expressions and the real antics of children, these dinosaurs will have little hands eager to turn the pages of this board book. Surely in such good company a child cannot help learning his or her numbers from one to ten.
