Tomorrow is supposed to be the first day of spring and Felicity can't wait for winter to be over. It is not that winter hasn't been fun, far from it. Felicity has had many enjoyable times with her friends during the cold season; going skiing, knitting wand warmers, eating snowflakes. But now "even the snowmen look fed up" and it is time for winter to move on.
So it is with great disappointment that Felicity wakes up to find that winter is still in residence. Apparently Floella the frost Fairy is sick at home with a cold and cannot bring spring that day. Being a very determined, and cold, fairy, Felicity decides that she is going to help Floella out by getting "rid of winter" herself. The problem is that Felicity simply cannot seem to get winter to leave and she herself gets cold and colder, and more and more frozen. Now what is Felicity going to do?
This charming little story is beautifully complimented by Emma Thomson's signature illustrations. Readers will also find two paper dolls in the front and back of the book. One is Felicity with a winter outfit and one is Felicity with a spring outfit.
