Ed Emberley's Big Orange Drawing Book
Ed Emberley
Non-Fiction (Series)
Ages 5 and up
Little Brown, 2005, 0-316-78975-5
If you have ever wanted to be able to draw oranges, carrots and other wonderfully orange things, this is the book for you. If you like Halloween and want to make your own cards for the special day, you will find this book packed with instructions on how to draw pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, witches, cats, ogres, ghosts, skulls, and all manner of other creepy things.
For all those young artists who need inspiration and a few tips or for those who love to draw "the Ed Emberley Way," this book is a real treat. Older readers will enjoy the written comments and tips which can be found throughout the book, while younger children will like the fact that they don't need to be able to read well to get the full value of the directions.

Action Alert

Reading is Fundamental (RIF) needs your help. The President's proposed fiscal year 2009 budget released in February eliminates the Inexpensive Book Distribution Program, which is the RIF Book Distribution Program. Unless Congress reinstates funding for this program, RIF will be unable to distribute 16 million books annually to the nation's youngest and most at-risk children. RIF serves 4.6 million children. Please click on the link below to visit the RIF Action Alert page so you can make your voice heard and support their efforts.
