Ebb the dog is not pleased. A large white bird has come into her life and she is not at all keen on it. Flo explains that the bird "wants to be friends" but all Ebb can think about is the fact that this bird has taken over her favorite spot and that the bird also shares her bed at night - which keeps her awake.
Ebb growls and growls and gets more and more grumpy. Everyone else thinks the bird is "sweet." All Ebb wants is for Bird to go away and leave her alone. Then one morning Ebb gets her wish. Bird is nowhere in sight and no one can find her. What is truly amazing is that Ebb discovers that she isn't happy about this situation. Quite the contrary, Ebb find that she misses Bird very much indeed.
Young readers will laugh at sweet and funny Ebb as she reluctantly and unknowingly discovers the joys of friendship and companionship. A simple text with warm expressive illustrations makes this winning picture book a title which can be enjoyed again and again.
