Dizzy Days: A Lift-the-flap book

Dr. Seuss

Board Book/Novelty book

Ages 2 to 4

HarperCollins UK, 2005, 0-00-719860-4

It is morning and it is time to wake up and get on with the day. There are so many different times that make up a day, each time having its own place and purpose. There is time “to play,” time “to cycle,” time “to eat,” and more. Each time has its own joys and with his wonderful trademark illustrations Dr. Seuss makes every time seem fun and special.

This wonderfully simple board book with its flaps to lift, its wonderful Seussian characters, and its minimal text will give small children a wonderful sense of how the rhythm of time in a typical day works.

Action Alert

Reading is Fundamental (RIF) needs your help. The President's proposed fiscal year 2009 budget released in February eliminates the Inexpensive Book Distribution Program, which is the RIF Book Distribution Program. Unless Congress reinstates funding for this program, RIF will be unable to distribute 16 million books annually to the nation's youngest and most at-risk children. RIF serves 4.6 million children. Please click on the link below to visit the RIF Action Alert page so you can make your voice heard and support their efforts.
