  When Catie the dog was a puppy she was trained to be a guide dog. Unfortunately her eyes were not as good as they needed to be to have such an important job. Catie’s trainer comforted her, and promised that she would find “another job” for the dog. 

  Luckily for Catie the perfect job came along. Catie went to live with Jim who is the concierge in a hotel, and Catie became the official greeter at the hotel. So now she takes people for walks, visits meetings, plays with children, and comforts people (big and small) who are homesick.

  One day Catie gets to meet – and take for a walk – a little girl who is very upset because she has lost her teddy bear. When they get back to the hotel after their time in the park, Milo the bear is still missing. Wanting to bring a smile back to the little girl’s face, Catie sets off to find the missing toy.

  This is a story based on the life of the real Catie Copley who works at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. The story is a simple one that is touching and humorous. Little children will enjoy hearing that Catie has a fondness for sausages, and that she likes to feel that she has done something important. Dog lovers of all ages will enjoy hearing Catie Copely’s sweet story.
