La Grande Fifi is a very elegant white poodle who lives in Paris. If you ask her about her life she will tell you that she has five homes and if you are lucky enough, she will take you around Paris to see these homes.
Your first stop will be the bistro of Madame and Pierre where Fifi partakes of croissant and chocolate for breakfast every morning. Next you will visit a very exclusive and chic boutique on the Champs Elysees where Fifi tries on outfits and drinks little cups of coffee. Then there is her third home in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower with Madame Baguette who feeds the pigeons.
With funny rhymes, a charming little story, and beautifully unique collage illustrations which have been created using paint, fabric, wire and other materials, this is a picture book which will charm dog lovers and Francophiles alike. It also has a simple message about how one’s home is “where your heart’s happy” no matter where you happen to be.
A CD of twelve amusing, clever, and very catchy songs accompany this book, the first of which is about Fifi and her wonderful French life in Paris.
