  Many of us have heard our mothers say that they “would do anything” for us. This is the portrait of a mother who, given the chance, would do all kinds of things for her baby because her love for her child is so complete.

  If she were a sailor she would take her little one (and the baby’s teddy bear) on a ship with “sails of cotton candy.” If she was builder she would build her child a castle with a moat full of jelly beans. If she were a geologist she would bring her baby all kinds of fabulous rocks and precious stones to play with. If her forte was being an engineer she would build the baby a high-speed train which “travels faster than a plane.”

  Somehow, no matter what she is, this mother is going to do her best to make her baby happy and to make it feel special and loved. This is what mother’s do, and this book does a marvelous job capturing the powerful feeling of love that a mother has for her child.

  Wonderful full-page illustrations capture every mother-child adventure to perfection, breathing life into all the possible scenarios that this mother conjures up for her baby. The waves of the ocean seem to splash just out of reach and the snow capped mountains make us shiver. And as for that train - how much we wish that we were on it along with the engineer mother and her much loved child.
