For a little bear cub there are lots and lots of perfect times during the day when he likes to have someone read a story to him. He likes to begin the day with a story, listening to his mother read out loud while he and his big brother bounce on the bed. At nap time there is almost nothing better than sharing a “soft cozy time” in the hammock with Mama and a good book. While Mama cooks the dinner the little cub likes to hear tales “about bears who eat/and drop all their food/on the floor at their feet.” And of course, there is bedtime when bath clean and feeling sleepy, the little cub sits snuggled up against Mama for the last story of the day.
Little children will find this celebration of books irresistible. With its charming rhyming text and its whimsical illustrations this is a picture book which will be brought out again and again for story times in the morning, at naptime, and at bedtime.
