Angelina is very excited about Christmas. On her way home from the Christmas show rehearsal she discovers that there is one mouse in the village who is going to be having a rather grim, cold, and lonely Christmas. When Angelina gets home she asks her mother about the lonely old mouse in the dark little house that she saw, and she learns that he is Mr. Bell, a retired postman who has no family to spend Christmas with.
Angelina and her family then set about arranging a wonderful Christmas surprise for Mr. Bell and he in turn brightens the Christmas for everyone in the village, especially for Henry, Angelina's little cousin.
This bright, cheerful little story of giving and sharing is a wonderful addition to any library, especially for fans of mice book characters.

ACTION ALERT!

Reading is Fundamental (RIF) needs your help. The President's proposed fiscal year 2009 budget released in February eliminates the Inexpensive Book Distribution Program, which is the RIF Book Distribution Program. Unless Congress reinstates funding for this program, RIF will be unable to distribute 16 million books annually to the nation's youngest and most at-risk children. RIF serves 4.6 million children. Please click on the link below to visit the RIF Action Alert page so you can make your voice heard and support their efforts.
