Andy Warhol’s Colors
Susan Goldman Rubin
Non-Fiction Board Book
Ages 2 to 4
Chronicle Books, 2007, 0-8118-5721-2
Have you ever seen a red dog or a pink cow? No? Well get ready because you are about to see some very odd looking animals indeed. You will see all kinds of other animals as well, animals which come in the colors that you are probably more used to seeing, like a yellow lion and a black and white panda.
In this delightfully surprising board book Susan Goldman Rubin has brought together some of Andy Warhol’s colorful animal pictures to create a collection which will not only help little children learn their colors but it will also give them a delicious case of the giggles. Animals noise words, a clever use of language, and simple rhymes combine to give this book a joyful feel which will bring children back to its vivid and sturdy pages again and again.

Action Alert

Reading is Fundamental (RIF) needs your help. The President's proposed fiscal year 2009 budget released in February eliminates the Inexpensive Book Distribution Program, which is the RIF Book Distribution Program. Unless Congress reinstates funding for this program, RIF will be unable to distribute 16 million books annually to the nation's youngest and most at-risk children. RIF serves 4.6 million children. Please click on the link below to visit the RIF Action Alert page so you can make your voice heard and support their efforts.
